About the Website Creator
This page is for those curious about the credibilty or the identity of the website creator. My name is Raven Blakeney. At the time of this site's creation, I am a student studying English Linguistics at Old Dominion University. I decided to make this site as a way to encourage those who may not have any idea of what they want to do after college to think about what they may want to do. Some of the career suggestions may seem outside of the box to some linguists. As a student myself, I hope this site is as relatable as possible. At Old Dominion University, the Linguistics department focuses on Sociolinguistics and TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language). In my time at ODU, I have taken linguistic courses in relation to culture on various occasions, taboo words, forensics, grammar, rhetoric, and several directly related to applied linguistic elements.
